Introducing Homestead Nutrition's online courses! Additional information and guidance over six weeks. 


There is a wealth of information to discover when choosing from a range of topics to grow holistic health knowledge and improve self-care skills. The courses are structured, with 3-6 modules per course and can be completed at the student's own pace.

Throughout the course, Jean provides support by giving feedback and answering student questions regarding the course content.

"How to" Dietary Advice Courses

To begin with, Jean is developing a series of "how to" courses, including "How to Vegan," "How to Keto" and many more dietary approaches that encompass various philosophies.

If you are trying a diet that works for you, you can expect support and guidance. Jean's belief is that not one size fits all and in human's evoloutionary ability to adapt to many different ways of eating.

First course: "How to Vegan" by Jean Menegus

Are you a vegan or looking to transition to veganism? Are you a health practitioner, with vegan clients you care for? "How to Vegan" is a course designed for students looking to improve their knowledge on the vegan lifestyle with a desire to understand how to implement it successfully. 

Duration: 6 weeks

Course Content
Module 1 - Introduction to veganism
On completion of this module, students will:
1. Develop an understanding of the main tenets of the vegan philosophy.
2. Have the ability to check ingredient labels and differentiate between vegan and non-vegan food products.
3. Have the ability to check ingredient labels and differentiate between vegan and non-vegan personal care and household products.
4. Have a basic understanding of the current scientific research that underpins the vegan lifestyle.
5. Understand current trends and industry standards that reflect the global demand towards veganism.
Module 2 - The health benefits and risks of the vegan diet
On completion of this module, students will:
1. Develop knowledge of some of the common health benefits of the vegan diet and who is more likely to have success with this lifestyle.
2. Have the skills to make informed decisions and avoid common mistakes with the vegan diet in order to prevent nutrient deficiencies, health problems and adverse effects.
3. Understand contraindications for certain people on the vegan diet.
Module 3 - Designing a well formulated vegan diet and additional supplementation
On completion of this module, students will:
1. Acquire basic knowledge on the moral and environmental aspects of the vegan diet.
2. Have the pantry essentials and basic recipes needed for a full week of homemade meals.
3. Feel equipped to navigate eating out and eating with friends.
4. Understand how to troubleshoot nutritional deficits with extra supplementation
